THE FOUNDER/DEAN Of BEITH DAVID

     Rabbi Dov Abraham Ben-Shorr, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, lives with his family in a small community in the Hebron Hills. He comntinues in the past of his teacher, one of the hidden greats of our generation, HaRav Giladi tsz''l. Rabbi Ben-Shorr received his training in the Rabbinical Kollel of Midrash Sephardi, before later becoming a teacher and their Director of the English Language Program. He is an accomplished Shohet (ritual slaughterer), Mohel (circumcision), and Sofer Stam (Scribe).

Rabbi Ben-Shorr also served in a combat unit of the IDF with distinction, and currently serves in the Reserves.

He also holds a Bachelor's degree in linguistics and a Masters degree in Tanakh (Bible).

     R. Ben-Shorr began Beith David as an expression of his love for Torah and Am Yisrael. Knowing where we are, and how far we've yet to travel, R. Ben-Shorr has invested himself into this project with all his heart and soul.

     R. Ben-Shorr's goal for the center was, and is, to infuse all the varying aspects of Torah, to combine learning with doing, and bring them together as an expression of its beauty, training students to offer it to the public at large.
