WELCOME TO BEITH DAVID
CENTER FOR LEADERSHIP IN ISRAEL

Press Here for a Video Welcome Message from the Founder/Rosh Yeshiva!!

Leading the Jewish Nation means serving G-d.
When one develops his relationship with HaShem he becomes a leader in his own life, and from there becomes fit to lead the Jewish People.

Connecting with G-d involves connecting one's mind, heart, and hands to serve Him and His People Israel.
Torah is the vehicle for learning and doing Mitsvot, his will. Without doing, there is no Torah, without Torah, we cannot do. Each is a prerequisite for the other, and each its compliment.

Learning to lead means learning to do.
It means learning responsibility, learning to do for something other than oneself. In turn one will understand how to truly take care of everyone including oneself.

At Beith David, students delve the depths of Torah, Work the Land of Israel, and Connect with the People of Israel.
While tilling the land, herding sheep and involving themselves with the communities of Israel, the students of Beith David both study and actualize the breadth and depth of Torah.

It is no accident that Ya'aqov Avinu, Moshe Rabbeinu, and David HaMelekh all tended flocks. It is one of the most effective ways of training a good leader.
On the spiritual side, herding animals symbolizes herding the animal nature of oneself. One who learns to control his own desires instead of being controlled by them, soon becomes a leader in his life, his family and his community.

Beith David - The Center for Leadership in Israel was created in the Jewish year of 5759 (1999) by Rabbi Dov Abraham Ben-Shorr to bridge Learning and Doing, Heart and Mind, Body and Soul, Spirituality and Responsibility- to help fill the ranks of the Jewish People with capable leaders.

It is our hope and prayer that Beith David will be a source of strenght for the Jewish people, establishing and strengthening their leaders, who will lead us in the path of G-d. May HaShem bless our endeavors.
